ViewWetland Inventory, Monitoring, and Assessment Program ConsultantBuena Vista Rancheria has been awarded a Wetland Program Development Grant from the US EPA. The purpose of this grant is to develop the tribe’s Wetland Inventory, Monitoring, and Assessment Program (WIMA). Monitoring will focus on a 4.4-acre wetland complex within a 6.6-acre wetland preserve located on the reservation. The tribe is seeking a consultant who will assist BVR in developing and implementing a wetland hydrological monitoring program, whereby the consultant and BVR develop a monitoring strategy, install wetland monitoring equipment, and analyze and interpret baseline wetland hydrological data. Monitoring will include the installation of two groundwater monitoring wells, and soil irrometers within the 4.4-acre wetland. The lead on this project is the Environmental Technician (Wetlands/TEK) with support from the Water Program Coordinator; however, additional BVR staff will be involved at various stages including but not limited to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), Tribal Historic Preservation Officer (THPO), and the Tribal Facilities Manager. 02/01/202203/18/2022Closedconsulting
